The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the movement of goods, ensuring all stock records are accurate, and maintaining proper documentation. This role requires a high level of integrity and accountability, especially when handling valuable inventory.

Key Responsibilities
* Record and monitor all incoming and outgoing goods.
* Accurately weigh and verify goods during receiving and dispatch.
* Ensure physical stock and system records are fully tallied and reconciled.
* Maintain accurate inventory and production records.
* Prepare and update stock movement reports.
* Assist in stock counting and inventory audits.
* Coordinate with production, warehouse, and sales departments.
* Ensure all documentation is complete and properly filed.
* Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, responsible, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s full-set accounting functions, inventory accounting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the gold, jewellery, precious metals, trading, or inventory-intensive industries.

This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, inventory reconciliation, and financial controls, particularly in a business dealing with high-value inventory and transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

* Handle full-set accounting, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and Bank Reconciliation.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
* Prepare year-end financial statements and supporting schedules.
* Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial performance.
* Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
* Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.

Inventory & Gold Accounting

* Reconcile inventory records with accounting records on a regular basis.
* Monitor stock movement, trade-ins, buybacks, and inventory adjustments.
* Review stock valuation and costing records.
* Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
* Work closely with operations and sales teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
* Maintain strong internal controls over high-value inventory.

Compliance & Audit

* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
* Prepare tax schedules and support tax submissions.
* Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and government authorities.
* Support external audits, tax audits, and regulatory reviews.
* Ensure proper documentation and audit trails are maintained.

Financial Analysis & Management Support

* Assist management with budgeting and forecasting.
* Prepare financial analysis and management reports.
* Identify areas for cost control and process improvement.
* Support strategic decision-making with accurate financial information.

Requirements
* Diploma, Degree, ACCA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent professional qualification.
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in full-set accounting.
* Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and accounting standards.
* Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Able to prepare management accounts independently.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
